Hollyoaks is a teen soap which airs week days on channel 4 and E4. The show was created by Phil Redmond, the person who created Grange Hill and Brookside. Hollyoaks is set on the fictional town of Chester.

The show first aired on 23rd of October 1995 and is mainly filmed in studios in Liverpool.

The show has involved a wide variety of storylines, most recently including teen pregnancy and homosexuality.

On the 26th of February 2007 the show titles and theme tune were revamped giving our James his first featuring in the titles.
