Mother - Myra

The mother of the family. Myra’s most important thing to her in the world are her 6 children, who she raised single handed as the fathers all left them.

Half Brother - Naill

John Paul's secret older brother. He has worked his way into the McQueen familys life, by lying to them at every chance he can get. Naill is pretending to befriend the family, while he is secretly plotting to break it apart as punishment for being the only child abandoned as a baby.

Half Sister - Jacqui

John-Paul’s oldest sister. Recently out of jail, she is currently trying to get her life back together. She cares deeply about John-Paul, and knew even before he did about him being gay.

Half Sister - Mercedes

Has a bit of a mouth, and thinks before she can talk. Said some nasty things to John-Paul when she found out he was gay, although she quickly apoligised in her own way.

Half Sister - Tina

The youngest of his half sisters. She has been very supportive over John-Paul coming out as gay.

Sister - Carmel

Since finding out about John-Paul being gay, has been very supportive. Although in some ways too supportive ie by signing him up to a gay website, and trying to set him up with guys, but she has his best interests at heart.

Sister - Michaela

John-Paul’s only younger sister. Like Mercedes has a bit of a mouth. Being the youngest often gets her own way. Shares a deep bond with John Paul, being the closest in age to each other, they understand each other well although much prefer slagging each other off.

Nephew - Max

The baby everyone wanted. Max is the child of John Paul's half sister Tina, although was to be handed over at birth to his other half sister Jacqui. After complications during his birth (caused by older half brother Niall having pushed Tina down the stairs) Tina was no longer able to have her own children and now also wants to keep baby Max. Max gets his name from a close friend of her husband who had recently died just before he was born.
