Morning After The Night Before

When John-Paul woke the following morning he daren’t open his eyes, too scared to break the dream. He lay perfectly still, his arm around the body that rest against him. His fingers ran through the soft hair that felt all too real, small goose pimples on the soft skin of the other boys neck. His dreams wouldn’t give such tiny details, surely?

When Craig opened his eyes and realised where he was his heartbeat increased tenfold. It was against every rule he’d set himself but that never had been a big deal to him. He noticed the rise and fall of John-Paul’s chest under his head slow, seconds before he felt the gentle fingers play through his short hair. Tilting his head up, his eyes met the intense blue of John-Paul and the smile he received pushed him that one step further in love.
